Counselors

I have loved working in education for the past 10 years at the high school, middle school and elementary level. I have a BA in Art History from CU Boulder, a BEd from MSVU in Nova Scotia, and I am currently completing my Masters in School Counseling from ASU in Alamosa. I am overjoyed to have found a kind, compassionate and dedicated community at Riverside. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work as a counselor to our students in navigating their journey with positivity and compassion. I find joy in hiking, skiing, and practicing yoga, activities that inspire me to connect with nature!

I feel blessed to live, work, play, and raise a family here in New Castle.  I have spent the past 27 years teaching middle and high school in the valley and can’t fathom working anywhere else!  I have two Master’s Degrees, one in Multicultural/Bilingual Education and another in School Counseling.  I am most thankful for the unique perspectives, creativity, and laughter that students share with me every day.  My motto is “Everything is better outside,” and I am thrilled to share this perspective with our students.  I spend my free time in nature hiking, skiing, foraging, and exploring.
